Welcome to Karissa E Photography's Blog! My name is Karissa Eckhardt and I am the photographer and owner of Karissa E Photography. I am so excited to have finally finished designing my website and now moving on to my very first blog post. This new venture of mine started back 2014 when my cousin asked if I would take her little ones' birthday pictures ... this photo is from the session where it all started! As my family knows all too well, I have always been behind the camera, snapping pictures at every holiday, birthday and even at our random family gatherings. I remember when I was a young teenager I wanted to surprise my Mom with a Christmas picture of me and my little brothers. So, I bribed my little brothers to cooperate and I set up a white blanket and faux snow in front of one of the big evergreen trees my Mom had growing in our yard. I was so proud of that gift and had fun creating it. My interest and love of photography started there... but it wasn't until I had my children that I I developed a True Love for photography. I just couldn't get enough of capturing their adorable faces, little features, contagious smiles and all the simple but oh so cherishable moments! This is my passion.
